SUMMER SESSIONS

Client:Four5 Productions / Red9

Date:August 2010

In August of 2010, my company Four5 Productions in collaboration with Red9 hosted the 2nd annual 'Summer Sessions' event. This event featured 3 bands, 20+ DJs, a fashion show featuring 10+ local boutiques and salons, and live wakeboarding in a 30 foot by 120 foot above ground custom wakeboarding pool, which had never been done before inside a local beer garden anywhere in the US.

Branding & Design
Summer Sessions was an annual event held in the late summer of each year. I wanted to include design elements that complimented the season. Additionally, most other area event and bar flyers featured women or types of drinks on the flyers and posters. I wanted something to help sell the feel of the season and the event.

Planning & Development
Every year, my 7 fellow co-owners and employees would spend around 2-3 months planning the event. This included lighting and theatrical elements and rentals which valued over $1 million dollars.

Entertainment & the Experience
Summer Sessions always brought together multiple entertainment elements. In 2010, entertainment included 12 wakeboarders performing in a custom made 30 foot by 120 foot above ground pool, which was the first time in the US this was ever done in a venue's beer garden. Additionally, we had over 20+ DJs, 3 bands, flare bartendars, and a fashion show which featured over 100 models wearing clothes from 10 area boutiques.

The Final Result
Every exceed the year before! In 2010 we had over 1600 patrons and raised the venue over $70,000 in bar sales.
